ESG Update:
Keedwell Group achieves 17% Reduction in CO2e emissions

Three tier strategy sees fleet and software investment, fuel trials and driver training.

December 2025: As part of the Group-wide commitment to environmental impact management, Keedwell Konnect is proud to report a 17% reduction in Scope 1 CO2e emissions against 2019 baseline figures and a 22% reduction in Scope 2 emissions.

Primary Scope 1 emissions, which account for some 98 per cent of total emissions, relate to fuel with secondary allocations to UK warehousing and office facilities.

Dan Carter, Director at Keedwell Konnect commented:

“Keedwell is a responsible business, one that seeks to set the standard for the haulage industry with its absolute commitment to planet and people. Our business goals and ESG programmes are aligned with, and respond to, the priorities and concerns of our customers, staff and the communities in which we work.

“We are proud to see tangible returns on our investment in environmental excellence and, at the same time, to reaffirm our commitment to the local communities in which we operate.”

Year-on-year reductions are being achieved through a Group-wide mandated three-tier strategy.  This sees investment in fleet modernisation together with the roll-out of new software systems to optimise load routing, an ongoing programme of trial and evaluation of new fuels and additives including Hydrogenated Vegetable Oils [HVOs] and, finally, recognising the role of drivers for its 450 strong fleet compulsory ‘driving for fuel economy’ training.  Head office and warehousing emissions are being driven down through energy efficiency programmes alongside integration of on-site solar generation at its 350,000 sq ft of facilities.

Keedwell manages a fleet of 450 vehicles and 1,000 trailers for household name clients ranging from Stora Enso, Holmen Paper & Falcon Timber to Biffa, Viridor & 3T Logistics. It offers clients access to warehousing across nine depots with both racked and floor space storage and pick and pack, meaning both a national and regional distribution solution.

Keedwell Konnnect is part of the £80 million turnover Keedwell Group and a member of the Road Haulage Association.
